Another gorgeous day and the trails at Nant yr Arian were riding really well.

I had changed my tyres and cleaned my bike (including getting a whole load of mud out from inside the seatpost and seat-tube) yesterday so hoped the bike would feel faster.

I started from Pendam in the sunshine and rode around the top part of the Pendam trail to the Visitor Centre. I was going at a decent pace but not flat out, but got to the Visitor Centre in 14 minutes 45 seconds which i thought was probably close to a record so from there on I started trying a little harder.

The trails were dry, dusty and hard packed so were rolling really well and the tyres seemed better. The second half was quite hard work, but I did beat my personal best with a time for the Pendam Trail of 36:55 (my previous best was 37:22). About time as I'd been feeling slow lately and last time I did it it took me 41 minutes!

I then met up with David and we rode around the Summit trail together before heading back off towards Pendam where I stopped and David carried on for another loop of the Summit Trail
